TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17TH Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
My husband and I frequently drive around the state, exploring its beauty and discovering new places. As much as we have come to depend on Google Maps to direct our paths, however, sometimes it has led us into places we wished we hadn’t gone. Sometimes it even abandons us if we get too far away from cell towers.
Most recently, our friend in northeast Arkansas gave us his address so we could stop by to see him while we were up that way. We plugged the address into Google Maps and off we went. We had never taken that route, having always come from Conway, but we were confident that if we just followed Google’s instructions we would get there.
The alarms started quietly sounding in my head when we left the highway and turned onto a gravel road. Still, we thought maybe Google was just taking us on a shortcut. Five miles down that gravel road that just kept getting narrower, we were told to turn on an even more narrow gravel road that looked like it was newly forged. Yes, Google had done us wrong and the banjos were now strumming in my head.
This doesn’t happen when we let God lead us. He never misleads us and we never lose our connection with Him as long as we trust and obey.
Prayer: Thank you God for Your guidance and direction in my life. Thank you that I can always trust You to lead me in the right direction.
